The Extended (XL) Female quick-connect is needed for airguns such as the FX Impact M3 where the male fill port on the airgun is recessed and a regular Female quick-connect would be too short to grab and remove. The XL Female quick-connect is easy to get your fingers on when it is time to connect or remove the fill hose.
