If you are like us you have been waiting for the .308 Texan for a long time. ย Now that it is finally started shipping, I have been searching the web and youtube for anything related to the texan .308. ย I wanted more info like chroney strings, and accuracy testing. ย I could not find anything on the .308. ย I would of assumed before it shipped to all of us, that airforce would of sent some to reviewers to make some youtube videos?
Nope, nothing:'(
Well we just got one in last Friday 3/10/2017 so I thought I would post some pictures of it to help share information on this new PCP. ย Later today we will shoot a chroney string, and take it out for some field testing and plinking. ย This gun will be a bench gun for long range squirrel shooting, so we will be shooting the airgun using our Regman regulator, once we find the best reg set point using the chroney.
First impressions, ย Big valve! One of the reasons we chose to go with the Texan is the straight flow of air from the tank to the barrel. ย I did laugh when I saw the o-ring behind the top hat. ย I learned this trick form the talonairgun forum years ago. ย I used to have one on my talon SS. ย the O-ring limits the travel and helps with the shot to shot consistency (in my opinion).
One of the things I really liked was the thickness of the barrel. ย I can’t wait to shoot this at .308 ย I really hope it will like the 111gr bullets we are going to be testing today.
That is it for now, I will try to post more on the texan .308 on Sunday after we have had a chance to test it out.
